Hi there, I am trying to get the trimmed bounds for layers of a Sketch file with sketchtool. I use sketchtool's
list layers command and it is quite slow, probably due to the calculation of bounds with effects.
Is there a different/faster way to get the trimmed bounds for a layer somehow? Why exactly does it take so long?
For example I have a 14M Sketch file where I copied a page with 8 layers 9 times. It has 5528 layers altogether. Sketchtool takes 6s to generate dump.json but 41 seconds for list layers json. I am collecting better stats for this but it's clear that a speedup would help here.
Some sketchtool commands have
--items="<layerId>" argument which would be quite useful in
list layers as well. I would be able to specify only the layers I am interested in and the calculation could be faster. Is there any particular reason why this argument is missing in
