We use sketchtool in our builds to export artboards from .sketch files that are committed to a git repo. We are investigating using a remote build service, like Appcenter.ms, to build and run tests.
Unfortunately, we haven't found a great way to install sketchtool at the beginning of each build. For other external packages, we've been able to use “npm install -g <package>”. I was excited to see that there is a sketchtool npm package but it doesn't work (and is also out-of-date).
Our current workaround is to use “brew cask install sketch” and then run sketchtool out of that. That also downloads an out-of-date sketchtool and, furthermore, causes us to use more bandwidth than is necessary. At least it works, though.
Anyhow, I'd love it if there were a way to install the latest sketchtool via a simple command on a remote machine. Or, maybe there is and I just don't know about it?
